# Have a fresh b2 install? Here's some quick tips! #

First of all I'd recommend new users to go Wordpress. But if you go b2 anyway,
here's 10 steps you should take to improve it:

1. 	Do the b2 SECURITY FIX
2. 	Install b2anti-spam
3. 	Do the b2 refresh fix for IE
4. 	CHMOD all the relevant files 766 (your archive, contact page) so you can edit it online
5. 	Install the b2ministats for showing #comments and #posts on your frontpage
6. 	Install the 5 latest comments hack
7.	Install b2group, so you can group messages from your vacation trip etc.
8. 	Edit your template! Make it personal
9. 	Validate your page's HTML and CSS through http://validator.w3.org
10. 	Make sure to expose your site in webrings, bloglisting, blogrolling etc.

I still recommend new users to go wordpress: http://www.wordpress.org
Development of b2 is practically non-existent.
