Pet Sematary
#############
If you like thriller/horror movies, there is none above the master of arts within the genre: Stephen King. Pet Sematary is of his creation, and the special FX team also needs it's applaude, cause this film is a masterpiece of thrilling horror, and scary 'coincidenses'. This movie has reached a 'classic' status, and you'll most definetely catch it sometime in your life, and GOOD 4 YOU! I won't annoy you with details, but to sum up short: a family consisting of dr. Lois Creed, his wife Rachel, and two kids Ellen and Gage settles down outside a small town where Lois have managed to get a job. They have a nice house, though the hiway on the front door kind of spoils the feeling of a safe place for their three year old son to play. Only neighbour is a local, old man named Jud Crandell, who knows the secret of this little place. When the family's exploring the surrounding area, he stumbles on to a pet sematary, a freakish place where former attendants of their new house have buried their pets. Intruiging? Well, it gets more interesting when (at a holiday) Ellen's cat Church(hill) is run over and killed by a truck. The neighbour having spent more and more hours with the family, really wants to help and tell Lois about an old indian grave.... but I won't tell more to spoil this fabolous and extremely scary and thrilling movie.
Some great casting:
- Lois Creed by Dale Midkiff
- Jud Crandall by Fred Gwynne
- Rachel Creed by Denise Crosby
- Victor Pasco by Brad Grenquist
and finnally Gage Creed played by magnificent Miko Hughes!
WARNING: don't watch it alone, and do not exit the building afterwards.... you could go crazy.. or dead:)
