This is a brief look at the ideals of the Rastafarian religion. It contains it's origins in Africa, but was embraced strongly by the poorer population in Jamaica. Keep in mind that it is not just a religion, but a way of life. What Rastafarians speak out against; poverty, oppression, inequality, etc; are noted to be actual problems in the world, not just religious ideas, as researched through the social sciences. Also, it should be noted that Rastas did make use of the Bible, but only parts not changed by the white Babylon.
