Sigg3 o 0 ( Nick Cave - The Ballad of Robert Moore and Betty Coltrane )

Well, I was wrong. Here's another post:) Just wanted to blog
this picture from a dramatized version of Nederlaget (1937),
en. the defeat, which my sister played in. She's the one to the left.

Just a short look on statistics:
Website statistics
As you can see from the illustration above, the majority of my
visitors are (naturally) from Norway (38%).
A small 7% of the visitors comes from the US, if we assume none of the
unresolved/unknown visitors came from the US. So, Americans, get yourself
together and point your browser to www.Sigg3.net!
Sweden has always been good visitors of this webpage, and the same with the people
of the UK. Japan, this month with a 1%, is something different however. They are
newcomers in my stats, probably listed as other before, so we all greet them
a warmheartedly welcome! ..That's all for today.

WAR IS TERRORISM

courtesy of www.vg.no
There's a list on www.ingenkrig.no where you can
sign under a protest on the military actions taken in Iraq. As of now (01:15 a.m) there are
24217 sign-ups, including mine.
< < < CLICK HERE TO SIGN! > > >

Norwegians only, I'm afraid. If anyone of you can find a global list, pls let me know!
remember:

WAR IS TERRORISM

WAR IS TERRORISM

I'm really proud of Europeans (and every nations left unnamed) that have
demonstrated against the actions of America's president Bush and Tony Blair (UK),
and the military actions in Iraq. Among other events, the American flag has
been burned approximately 500 times. If I had one, I'd run out in the garden right
now with my lighter and wave it in fire to only ashes remained. Frustration.
Check out www.ingenkrig.no's map over Norwegian demonstrations today:

Super Jon-H

Some of you people probably know that I've played in a band
called Crescent for 5 years some time ago. Well, we actually released
an album (Crescent Sessions 2k) and recorded another one (still unreleased).
Now, before all that we recorded some tunes in the same flat
we used to rehersal in, and the recording was done by Jon-H (picture).
It went a couple of years and the recordings got lost.. a true tragedy!
But today Johnny called my up on MSN and said that he'd found some of them.
I phoned my ex-bandmembers to tell them about this great event, and in half an
hour or so, we'll meet at the local pub (or tavern, if you like) and listen to it.
REAL GARAGE GRUNGE-PUNK, man! Yeah:)
So this one goes out to Jon-H: pay heed!

Sigg3 o 0 ( Shogo - Red Riot )

I've just read the Shooting Pool entry @ Pauly's Truckin' zine.
It's really good reading, folks. Here's a taste, before you run along and read:
i>I began to rack the pool balls and set up the table when one of the
girls shouted to me, "Venez-vous avec nous?"
"What did she say?" asked Senor.
"She wanted to know if we were coming with them," I answered.
"To the girl's bathroom?"
"Yeah I guess we should. How many times do we get offered to do lines
of blow in a bathroom in the back of a shitty-ass club in Amsterdam,
with sixteen year old French girls?"
Senor's smile said exactly what I was thinking.

Here's a copy of the e-mail I sent to the US Departement of Justice,
concerning the case of www.warbucket.com:
- - - - - - - - - - - - - COPY - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Concerning http://www.warbucket.com

Quote from the U.S Constitution, Bill of Rights:
Amendment 1
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion,
or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech,
or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble,
and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.

I'd like to hear what you have to say about it..
In addition a quote from the United Nation's (universal) Human Rights:

Whereas disregard and contempt for human rights have resulted in barbarous
acts which have outraged the conscience of mankind, and the advent of a world
in which human beings shall enjoy freedom of speech and belief and freedom from
fear
and want has been proclaimed as the highest aspiration of the common people.

(the Preamble)

Everyone has the right to freedom of opinion and expression;
this right includes freedom to hold opinions without interference and to seek,
receive and impart information and ideas through any media and regardless of frontiers.

(Article 19)

Sincerely,
Sigge Åmdal

Sigg3 o 0 ( Cloroform - deconstruction )

Just a short notice to let you all know that I've
actually begun to write the new updates for Me.Sigg3.net

Sigg3 o 0 ( Cloroform - 30,000 people )

This one goes out to all you people actually bying those
naive stories about freedom of speach on the internet!

http://warbucket.com/

"This domain and website were surrendered to U.S. law enforcement
pursuant to a federal investigation and possible prosecution for
conspiracy to violate criminal desecration laws."

"The Department of Justice and federal law enforcement will continue to
investigate and prosecute individuals and groups that violate the federal criminal
desecration laws at home and abroad. For more information on federal investigations
in this matter, visit www.usdoj.gov."

This is fucked up right here! Please send them an e-mail to show our concern
in this case of violating the freedom of speach!

E-mails to the Department of Justice, including the Attorney General,
may be sent to AskDOJ@usdoj.gov.

-- Just a follow up:
A discussionboard focusing on the lack of respect for the Bill of Rights

It's about a week now since we returned from Scotland,
and I know it's about time my travel-journal (@ Me.Sigg3.Net) is updated
with the two latest stories: Sigg3 in China and Schooltrip to Scotland.
So, I'm reserving this afternoon to finish, at least, the last one and hopefully the first too.
I'll let you know when it's up. As some of you ppl already know, I was hired by
Pauly from the Tao of Pauly to write for his Truckin' Zine,
an online travel-magazine with "short stories, sagas and tales from the road".
Check out the latest addition: Sisters! by Sen?r. Begins like this:
Chetra is pure innocence. She is a sweet, loving, caring, 18 year old virgin, and having a
tight little body is a great added bonus. During my last visit to Cambodia, Chetra shared my
bed every night. True, she is still a virgin, but I must admit cuddling up with such a
beautiful women, inside and out, was thrilling and wonderful...

Sounds pretty interesting, if you ask me! So check it out!

Bush

Just a short comment on the speach by president Bush last night,
which I, unfortunately not, could see as I was sleeping at the time:)

A couple of quotes answered:
1) "The tyrant will soon be gone"
2) "Instead of drifting along toward tragedy, we will set a course toward safety."
3) "We will tear down the apparatus of terror and we will help you to build a new Iraq that is prosperous and free."

Listen, you SOB!
1) No. As with Osama Bin Laden, you cannot take away a personality
of Saddam's caliber. I'm not saying that I support the motherfucker,
but seriously.. Do you want to go to war to get rid of ONE person? Maybe I should
go to war to get rid of mr. Bush? Ehem.... good idea? - Think not.
And if you should get lucky and get rid of Saddam himself, then another one
will pop-up from the desert as soon as you can say We got him! What then?
2) First of all: what is your version of safety? Is safety a US Army controlled country torn
up by carpetbombing with a quite reduced population? Is safety having Bush controlling
your country? I think not. On the other hand, speaking of the tragedy Iraq is drifting along to:
where are your brains? Do you not think there are rebels working towards a free Iraq?
Do you think that all of the people in Iraq accept the situation under Saddam?
Do you think that the people of Iraq will accept foreign interference in their internal problems?
3) The apparatus of Terror. I really liked that one, George. If there is one superpower with
more terror-equipment than the United States, I'd really like to see it. Saddam can bomb half of
Europe and that's a fact. You can bomb the entire world, and nobody says anything.
We will help you to build a new Iraq that is prosperous and free. Well, isn't that nice.
You remove the badguy and help the leftovers earn money by selling you cheap oil.
Good one.

I've been critizising the US of A on a number of occasions. Some issues quite farfetched,
some not. But I've to say that a beauti- and powerful country like America, is really making
me sick when you go to war against a people that is victimized by their
own government every day. It's like throwing rocks at a guy in a wheelchair.
It's disgusting. Who gave you, maybe the youngest nation in the world, the right to be
the world's police officer, judge and executioner? Yourself.
So, George, even though you're a funny-looking guy and probably quite nice, I disapprove.

My friend and writer, Børre Antonsen has been interviewed
by the Norwegian website Forfatterne.net.
Read it here www.forfatterne.net/int03/apoet
Should explain what he's up to these days. For English readers, check out his
weekly poems, @ this site, every number dividable by 2 is in English.
The last one updated (actually updated yesturday): Hiding

I just have to say that I'd be a moron if I couldn't critizise myself too,
so as a comment to my previous post I have to say that my statement
is based entirely on the excerpt presented. Since I haven't registered with
www.nytimes.com I couldn't read the whole article, leaving me ditching
my buddy Thomas Friedman on grounds invaluable. I apologize personally to him,
but my reply to the quote still stands.
I'm sitting in the school library right now, supposed to be working on Scottish
romanticism and it's poets and poetry. My selected poets are William Blake and
Samuel Taylor Coleridge, and the poems (a.o) are Auguries of Innocence and
the quite entertaining Kubla Khan. Other recommended poems are as follow:
  • To the Muses (Blake)

  • Ah! Sun-flower (Blake)

  • The Good, Great man (Coleridge)

  • Which can all be found @ the online poetry index in the links section.

    Sigg3 o 0 ( Dirty Oppland - Vi Digger Det! )

Repairing the World is written by Thomas Friedman and appears in today's NY Times.

Here's a bit: "Yes, some people and nations are just jealous of America's
power and that's why they oppose us on Iraq. But there is something more to
the opposition. I deeply identify with the president's vision of ending Saddam Hussein's
tyranny and building a more decent, progressive Iraq. If done right, it could be so
important to the future of the Arab-Muslim world, which is why I won't give up on this war." *

    my comment? Here we go:
    1) ...some people and nations are just jealous of America's power and that's why they
    oppose us on Iraq.
What? Seriously? Mr. Friedman, blow me! You don't think it can
have anything to do with the fact that attacking Iraq just now will cause many people
(including your precious americans) to die? ... I honestly do..

    2) ..If done right, it could be so important to the future of the Arab-Muslim world..
Well, Thomas, I'd have to agree with you on that one. Emphasis on ..If done right!
Can you really impose democracy on another people? I think it's really backwards. I mean,
isn't this supposed to be voluentary (?). Especially nowadays, when democracy in my
own country, isn't working at all. Freedom of speach is all good, but freedom in itself is
mostly forgotten. I think it's time for the US to grow up and stop interfering with
business they've nothing to do with. I think it's time to get rid of Saddam too.
Hence; all we can do is encourage the people of Iraq to stand up for themselves and let
them take care of their own future. We can only imagine what will happen if the US
takes control down there. In half a year the world (that is USA) will sit on a
goldmine (oil) while being kissed in the ass by a reduced number of
    very, very thankful Iraq inhabitants.

    3) A comment to the US of A: The true power of a nation is exposed when the leadership
can make reasonable decisions that doesn't have to be popular among the people.
I'm not telling you to forget the 11th of September. None of us will.
But you must get over it.

    Stagger Lee

Sitting here reading about Andre Torrez' project on songs about
the one of America's well know myths: Stagger Lee. Nick Cave has a good version.
On this webpage you can check out all the different versions
made by people ranging from Nick Cave (as mentioned) to Beck and Fats Domino
in .mp3 format. CHECK IT OUT!
Stayed @ home all yesturday evening. Instead of getting blasted,
me, my brother and his buddy rented a couple of movies. I wanted something funny,
and boy did I get it: MONSTERS, INC and CORKY ROMANO. Seriously funny!
Both films wholeheartedly recommended by Sigg3.net !
Today? Stayed at home most of the time, made some pancakes and ate em. I did.
Then I've also done some constructive reading of Zapffe's Om det Tragiske*.
It's too bad this material ain't in the list of set reading in school, would've made all the difference.
Then again, it wouldn't. Hard to explain really. It's a complex simplicity we all live in... :P
You should check out apoet.no soon, as I'm updating it with some new stuff tonight.
Børre actually e-mailed me the other day. He's still in Thailand, and that's about all
that I know. We'll see if a travel-letter shows up soon. Think it does.
